PUBLISHING
Your comic is written, drawn and edited. So now what? You could of course turn it into a webcomic, but you might want to have it on paper as well and, we all have dreams, actually sell it. You could send a portfolio with a selection of pages (and website address if you have one) to a publisher of comic books. Or you could try self-publishing, nowadays there are companies that offer POD, or print on demand, which basically means you don't have to have a lot of comics printed in advance hoping you can sell them. Instead your readers can put down an order for one or more copies with those companies and it isn't until then that the copies get printed. This can make the copies a bit more expensive than having a bulk print done yourself, but at least you don't have to fork out a lot of cash you might not have. You simply decide how much profit you want and that's that.
Whatever you decide, everything has its advantages and drawbacks. Getting your comics printed by a publisher allows for a greater distribution but may simply not happen, something you have to take into account. Self-publishing through POD may start at a much lower scale, but at least it allows you the chance to have your work printed. Just explore all your options and go for it.
We ourselves are looking into self-publishing, at least for the English version of our comic. When we have more date on how to do this, we'll put it right here.
